THE STELLA
MARIS- STAR OF THE SEA is a registered Australian
Ship it was professionally built and launched in
1971. Stella Maris was originally used as the AWA
radio ship in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Races
in the 70's.She then became a Dive Boat servicing
the Cairns and Whitsunday's
area Stella was later bought by KL
Charters refitted and is currently used for Private
Charters, Diving, Day Trips and Extended
Fishing Charters
2 to 7 Days to the outer reef from Mackay
to Bowen in the Whitsunday's
Queensland. Stella Maris is also
used as a Mother Ship and can tow up to 6
tenders for Fishing Clubs or Groups
who wish to take there own boats
to
the reef on a Fishing Trip. |

The Stella Maris is a steel vessel measuring 63ft (20M) weighing 95 ton making it a very stable vessel for open waters.
She is powered by twin diesel V8 caterpillars
of 250hp each and has twin 240volt generators
delivering 24hr a day electrical
power for air-conditioning, hot
showers, fridges, freezers and dive compressors
other equipment includes GPS, radar,
depth sounder, chart nav and radios.
Stella carries 8,000lt of fuel and
5,000lt of fresh water. Our decks
are spacious with her rear deck
having a canopy for shaded comfort
and above the saloon has a sun
deck for those who wish to worship
the sun.
